Erin Flynn is a singer/songwriter originally from Stockbridge, MA. Known internationally for the Chaplet of Divine Mercy on EWTN, she has also worked for many years in full-time ministry involving speaking, music, writing, design, editing, and producing with MercySong.
Her voice — what her father and producers call “the voice of lamentation” — can be heard on not only our music CD’s, but on most of the spoken word albums as well. She is currently Editor and Art Director at MercySong for all of our books, and handles the content and product marketing at the new website for her father, best-selling author Vinny Flynn.
Her 3 recordings of the Chaplet for EWTN – first with her father when she was just 13 years old, and later with some of her siblings as well – have aired almost every day for over 25 years, serving as the original introduction of this powerful prayer to much of the world. She has become a face recognized by many; one that is familiar and comforting. People have said she’s like a friend coming into their home each day to pray with them. She has also sung at numerous Marian and Eucharistic conferences, retreats, and parish missions throughout the country, and can be heard on 16 different music and prayer CD’s recorded for MercySong.
Her first solo CD, Through the Darkness, was released in 2006 while she was on mission in Russia. In a departure from that style, she is now working on songs for a new album of originals that will have a more raw, acoustic feel. She and her sister Mary have also been developing a program that will serve as an outreach to young women.
A graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville (with a double major in Philosophy and Theology and a minor in Psychology), she has worked overseas with orphans and refugees, and for now will be focusing on music and ministry here in the U.S. She currently resides in North Carolina.
