Erin Flynn is originally from Stockbridge, MA and began in ministry as a singer/songwriter. Known internationally as the singer for the original Chaplet of Divine Mercy on EWTN, her ministry work for 30 years now has involved speaking, music, spiritual counseling, writing, design, editing, and producing.
Her voice — what her father and producers call “the voice of lamentation” — can be heard on not only our music CD’s, but on most of the spoken word prayer albums as well. She is currently Editor and Art Director at MercySong for all of our books, including those by her father, best-selling author Vinny Flynn. She also handles our Foreign Publishing contracts.
Her 4 recordings of the Chaplet for EWTN – first with her father when she was just 13 years old, and later with some of her siblings as well – have aired almost every day for over 30 years, serving as the original introduction of this powerful prayer to much of the world. She has become a face recognized by many; one that is familiar and comforting. People have said she’s like a friend coming into their home each day to pray with them. She has also sung at numerous Marian and Eucharistic conferences, retreats, and parish missions throughout the country, and can be heard on 16 different music and prayer CD’s recorded for MercySong.
Her first solo CD, Through the Darkness, was released in 2006 while she was on mission in the Russian Far East.
A graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville (with a double major in Philosophy and Theology and a minor in Psychology), she has worked overseas with orphans and refugees, and now primarily focuses on healing work with individuals and retreatants. A certified Ignatian Spiritual Director and a Healing & Freedom coach, she currently resides in Florida.
